The 10th Planet No-Gi System
Whether you're 22 or 52, whether you've never grappled a day in your life or you're coming back after years away — the 10th Planet no-gi system is built around leverage and technique, not raw athleticism. Our Fundamentals classes are specifically designed for the adult beginner.
Jiu jitsu is a moving chess match — you genuinely cannot think about anything else while someone is trying to pass your guard.
The entire 10th Planet system is built around smaller, technical practitioners controlling bigger, stronger ones.
Trained live, against resistance — not theoretical techniques you never actually get to test.
Recurring training partners working toward shared goals — genuinely one of the easiest ways to build real friendships as an adult.
This isn't generic grappling with a 10th Planet sticker on it. Our adult program teaches Eddie Bravo's no-gi jiu jitsu system the way it was designed to be taught — as a complete, interconnected methodology. Rubber guard, lockdown, the truck, twister side control, leg entanglements: these aren't party tricks here, they're positions with entries, controls, and finishes, taught progressively so beginners build real understanding instead of collecting random moves.
No-gi means no grips to hide behind and no uniform to buy. Everything works with wrestling-style control — underhooks, overhooks, head position, and body mechanics. It's the most honest form of grappling: if your technique is sloppy, you'll know immediately, and our coaches will help you fix it.
Class opens with a grappling-specific warmup — movement drills that build the exact mobility and conditioning jiu jitsu demands. Then technique: our coaches break down positions and sequences in detail, answer questions, and make sure everyone understands the why behind each move. Then we drill — because technique you can't execute under pressure is just trivia.
The second half is live training: positional rounds and open mat time where you test everything against resisting partners. This is where jiu jitsu separates itself from every other martial art — you get to go 100% effort, every class, and walk out uninjured because tapping is built into the culture. Beginners start with positional-only rounds and build up at their own pace. Nobody gets thrown to the wolves.
Our adult students range from their 20s to their 50s, from former wrestlers to people who've never done a sport in their lives. Jiu jitsu is for every body type — leverage is the great equalizer, and our coaches are skilled at adapting technique to yours. Whether your goal is competition, self-defense, fitness, or just a tribe of good people to train with, you'll find your place here. Want to accelerate even faster? Book 1-on-1 private lessons with our coaching staff.
Your first class is free — come see what the mats feel like before you commit to anything. Contact us or call +1 (951) 708-6644. We're at 26305 Jefferson Ave, Suite M in Murrieta, serving students from Temecula, Menifee, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake, French Valley, and Winchester.
It's never too late. A huge percentage of our adult students started as complete beginners in their 30s, 40s, and beyond. The curriculum is designed to take you from zero to competent step by step — everyone in the room remembers their first day.
Jiu jitsu is one of the safest martial arts to train because you can go full effort with minimal injury risk — tapping ends every exchange before damage happens. Our coaches prioritize safe training, beginners start with controlled positional rounds, and the ego-free culture means nobody is trying to hurt you to prove a point.
A rash guard (or fitted t-shirt) and shorts or spats without pockets or zippers. No uniform to buy — that's one of the best parts of no-gi.
Two to three times per week is the sweet spot for building skill without burning out. Consistency over months is what creates grapplers. Check our class schedule for current times.
No. Many of our students never compete and love jiu jitsu purely for the training, fitness, and community. Competition is there if you want it — our competition team will prepare you properly — but it's never expected.
Your first class is free either way. For current membership options, contact us or call +1 (951) 708-6644 and we'll walk you through everything with zero pressure.

“I’ve been training under Coach Drew Murillo for the past two years. He’s an amazing coach and mentor. He’s creating champions on and off the mats — I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking to start training.”
